Your equity finally vested.
Now what?

Tax and planning for people whose wealth is growing faster than their plan for it. Equity compensation, liquidity events, and everything that comes after, from a CPA who's worked inside a YC startup and Big Four tax.

Where you are

I work with people at the moments that matter most

Most accountants meet you once a year, after the decisions are already made. I work alongside you year-round, especially in the moments where stakes are highest and wealth is on the line.

You just had a liquidity event

Your company went public, got acquired, or opened a tender, or you're the founder approaching that exit. Suddenly you're facing ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, AMT, and QSBS, with six- and seven-figure tax consequences on a deadline. I help you plan the outcome, not just report it.

You're building beyond the paycheck

You've started turning income into lasting wealth: real estate, investments, ownership that doesn't fit on a W-2. I handle the tax strategy that comes with it, including entity structure, 1031 exchanges, cost segregation, and keeping every moving piece coordinated.

You're deciding what's next

Work is becoming optional, or you're trading the Bay Area for somewhere with more mountains. The question shifts from "how do I earn more" to "how do I keep more of what I've built, tax-efficiently, for the decades ahead." That's the tax planning I'm built for.

My expertise

Strategy first, compliance always

Going beyond the annual filing, I'm your partner in keeping and growing what you earn, proactively and year-round.

Time-Sensitive Tax Moves

The decisions with a deadline attached: a vest, exercise, or sale this year, an IPO or tender offer, an AMT bill, an 83(b) election on a 30-day clock. When a move is time-sensitive, getting it right before the window closes is what matters most.

Long-Term Tax Strategy

The moves that pay off years out: how your entities are structured, how an exit is positioned, how this year's choices set up the next five. I focus on the tax and coordinate with your attorney, financial advisor, and wealth manager on the rest.

How We'll Work Together

Old-school service with new-school tech. Everything runs through secure portals with e-signatures, video calls, and connections to the data behind your goals. I lean on trusted tools so our time goes to strategy, not busywork.

Why OGCPA

A CPA who's been on your side of the table

I began my professional career as a licensed financial advisor, gaining valuable insight into investment and retirement planning. After stepping away from advisory and moving into accounting, I cut my teeth at a local firm in Bend, working my way up to Deloitte's tax team in Guam, then founding OGCPA in 2019.

Alongside the firm, I served as Board Treasurer for a national nonprofit, CFO of a growing regional operating company in Dallas, and was on the founding team of a Y Combinator-backed AI startup. Today I also serve as the tax subject-matter expert for a venture-backed AI company.

I continue to operate OGCPA concurrently with that work by choice, because living at the intersection of tax, technology, and equity is exactly where my clients live, alongside my own passions.

  • Big Four tax pedigree, startup-world fluency. Your equity isn't a foreign language to me.
  • Proactive and year-round. I plan the move with you before the deadline, not after.
  • Bend roots, Bay Area reach. I work with people on both ends of that well-worn path.
